CARE-North+ Input at SINTROPHER Final Conference

“Supporting Growth through Regional Connectivity – How can better transport links promote economic development at the regional level?” was the title of the final conference of North-West Europe Interreg project SINTROPHER (Sustainable Transport for North-West Europe's Periphery). The conference took place on February 27, 2014 in Brussels and involved a number of European stakeholders.
Bremen, represented by Michael Glotz-Richter, was invited to close the conference and to provide an outlook to the year 2040 together with Sir Peter Hall. In his presentation, Michael showed the potential of development until 2040 by looking back 26 years – exactly the time span that is left until 2040. 26 years ago, in 1988, a revolutionary development took place in the sector of information and communication technology, which will continue and likely also change much in future of transportation…
